It’s Christmas Eve already! I have no idea how that happened. December flew by so fast that I have barely had time to think about what to bring to Christmas lunch tomorrow. Huge adulting fail. Maybe you’re like me, strapped for time and need a bit of last minute inspiration for special holiday recipes? If so, here’s a collection of 6 really good looking, quick and easy holiday hemp recipes that will wow your guests. They’re pretty light on the ingredient list, so you may just be lucky and have everything in your pantry already. (Provided you keep your supply of hemp seeds stocked up, that is.)
Gingerbread Hemp Bites
Think: the chewy-gooey shape of a rum ball, meets the classic spicy holiday flavour favourite gingerbread… rolled in hemp seeds. Santa’s going to skip my house tonight because boy, I’m thinking naughty thoughts about these.
You may already have all the ingredients on hand if you’re the type who’s into a bit of regular baking. It’s an easy, no fuss recipe too – you just toss the ingredients in a food processor and blend, then roll.

‘Hempnog’ aka Plant-based Eggnog
Another holiday classic gets a vegan makeover! Eggnog was a Christmas favourite of mine as a kid. I’d skull a whole litre in an evening if Mum didn’t take it away from me. I’ve been vegan for almost 6 years now so traditional eggnog is no longer something I partake in, but I gave this one a try and it ticked all the boxes!

Peanut Butter Hemp Cookies and Milk For Santa Claus
Last but not least, we don’t want to forget jolly old St. Nick. Here’s some soft and chewy peanut butter hemp seed cookies that both Santa and kids young and old will love. They’re low on sugar but big on taste and satisfaction. No need for cookie cutters, just roll and squash onto a baking pan. Try not to eat them all before Santa drops the goods off though, ok?
Pair these with some of our Homemade Hemp Milk!
*Gracias to these cuties Carine and Damien at theconsciousplantkitchen.com for the recipe and photo.
